Sales Engineer (Nuclear)

📍 Location: Tennessee, New York, Arizona, or Remote (frequent travel to customers as needed)

Salary Range: $50,000-$175,000 plus commissions/bonuses, based on experience.

The Role

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to help win and deliver technically complex opportunities across the nuclear industry. This role blends consultative selling with enough technical depth to earn credibility with engineers, operators, and executive stakeholders. You will translate customer pain points into scoped solutions, coordinate internal experts, and build winning proposals. You will also support servicing existing contracts to deliver on past promises and assist in this way to make follow-up sales to existing customers.

What You’ll Do

Own technical discovery and solution shaping for customer opportunities

Translate customer requirements into clear scopes, assumptions, and success criteria

Partner with engineering and delivery teams to craft solution architectures and implementation plans in I&C, AI, basic components, hardware, and other such fields.

Build proposals and statements of work (SOWs), including schedule and cost inputs

Present technical content to stakeholders (engineering, licensing, quality, operations)

Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and support account strategy

Coordinate demos, pilots, and proof-of-concepts

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or equivalent technical experience

3+ years in sales engineering, applications engineering, technical product support, or similar customer facing role.

Strong communication and ability to explain complex topics simply

Preferred

Experience selling into nuclear utilities, advanced reactor developers, DOE labs, or nuclear suppliers.

Familiarity with regulated environments and quality systems.

Other nuclear industry experience, such as engineering, operations, or other such credibility boosting and insight bringing valuable positions.
