Salary Range: $75,000-$210,000, based on experience and equity desires
The Role
We are seeking a PRA engineer/analyst to develop and maintain probabilistic risk assessments for nuclear facilities, supporting design decisions, licensing deliverables, and risk-informed applications. This role can support advanced reactor projects, operating plant modifications, or fuel cycle facilities depending on background.
What You’ll Do
Develop and update PRA models (event trees, fault trees, cut sets, quantification)
Perform risk-informed evaluations to support design tradeoffs and licensing positions
Support external hazard analyses (seismic, fire, flooding) as needed
Prepare clear documentation, technical reports, and regulator-ready narratives
Interface with systems, safety analysis, and licensing teams
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Nuclear Engineering or related field
- 3+ years PRA experience (or strong safety analysis experience with PRA ramp)
- Familiarity with PRA methods and common toolsets
- Strong technical writing skills
- Prior nuclear industry experience or education
Preferred
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for risk-informed applications
- CAFTA or SAPHIRE Level 1 PRA software experience
- MAAP or MELCOR Level 2 PRA software experience
- Level 3 PRA experience
