Salary Range: $70,000-$185,000, based on experience
The Role
We are seeking an EMC professional (from junior engineer through senior lab manager) to support EMC/EMI testing, troubleshooting, and compliance planning for complex electrical and electronic systems in the nuclear industry. This role is critical for ensuring products meet regulatory and customer requirements in high-reliability environments.
What You’ll Do
Plan and execute EMC/EMI testing (radiated and conducted emissions, susceptibility, ESD, EFT, surge)
Develop test plans, procedures, and compliance strategies aligned to applicable standards
Diagnose failures and recommend design mitigations (filtering, grounding, shielding, layout)
Maintain and operate EMC test equipment and chambers
Produce clear test reports and support customer/regulatory discussions
(Senior) Lead lab operations, scheduling, budgeting, quality systems, and team development
Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
1+ years (junior) to 10+ years (senior or lab manager) in EMC testing and compliance.
Strong hands-on trouble shooting, test configuration, and documentation rigor
Familiarity with IEC 61000, MIL-STD-461, and similar industry-specific EMC standards
Preferred
Experience with nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other safety-critical industries
iNARTE or similar certification
Experience establishing and maintaining ISO 17025 compliant EMC laboratory procedures
