Co-Founder of New Reactor Design Company

📍 Location: Washington or Florida preferred. Remote with frequent travel tolerable for super stars.

Salary Range: $150,000-$300,000. Negotiable and subject to equity desires.

The Role

We are seeking a Co-Founder to help build a new nuclear reactor design company from early-stage concept through licensing, engineering execution, and commercialization. This role requires a rare blend of technical credibility, strategic clarity, and the ability to build teams and partnerships in a highly regulated environment.

What You’ll Do

Partner with the founding team to set technical and commercial strategy

Help recruit and lead high-performing engineering and operations talent

Drive early program planning (roadmaps, milestones, risk management, budget framing)

Build partnerships with labs, vendors, and deployment stakeholders

Support fundraising and investor discussions with clear technical narratives delivered in polished speeches and potential podcasts.

Establish core operating rhythms, governance, and decision-making processes

Engage with regulators and industry stakeholders as appropriate

Qualifications

Deep background in nuclear engineering, energy systems, or related advanced technology.

Demonstrated leadership in complex technical programs (startup or enterprise)

Strong communication, decision-making, and team-building skills

Preferred

Experience with reactor licensing, advanced reactor development, or fuel cycle programs. Other co-founder and teammates will have substantial nuclear experience and someone to drive fundraising and other parts of running an organization to complement their technical skills is desired.

Prior startup founding or early leadership experience.
