Civil Structural Engineer (Nuclear)

📍 Location: Texas, Florida, Kansas, Washington, or Remote

Salary Range: $80,000-$245,000, based on experience

The Role

We are seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to support design and analysis for nuclear facilities and nuclear-adjacent industrial projects. This role spans conceptual design through detailed design support onto site construction inspection, with a focus on high-consequence structures, constructability, and documentation rigor.We are seeking a proposal writer to support government grant applications and commercial proposals for nuclear technology and services. This role partners with technical leaders to translate complex engineering content into clear, compelling narratives that win funding and contracts.

What You’ll Do

Perform structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete and steel structures

Develop calculations, drawings inputs, specifications, and design basis documentation

Support seismic and dynamic evaluations as required

Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, and architectural teams

Support design reviews, field questions, and issue resolution during construction

Contribute to licensing, safety, and quality documentation where applicable

Qualifications

BS/MS in Civil or Structural Engineering

3+ years structural design experience (prior nuclear industry experience strongly preferred and decades of experience would tend to place higher onto listed pay range)

Strong knowledge of building codes and structural engineering standards

Strong technical writing and documentation discipline

Preferred

PE license

Experience with nuclear QA environments and seismic qualification

ANSYS FEA or similar software experience.
