Salary Range: $130,000 to $215,000 (target range, dependent on level and scope)
The Role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead nuclear engineering teams delivering client and internal work scopes across advanced reactor, fuel cycle, and related programs. You will help scope and win work (RFP support), then execute with strong technical and process discipline.
What You’ll Do
Lead and mentor engineers; set priorities and ensure deliverables are high quality
Improve design processes and close gaps in procedures and execution habits
Support proposal development (scope, schedule inputs, resourcing, and technical narratives)
Coordinate cross-functional work across systems, mechanical, electrical, QA, and licensing
Review and approve engineering documents (specifications, calculations, requirements)
Support regulator and audit interactions as needed
Approve timecards, everyone’s favorite!
Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Engineering or related field
- 10+ years experience with meaningful nuclear industry experience in engineering or engineering adjacent disciplines
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to drive decisions and resolve conflicts
Preferred
- Prior people management experience, someone that has been supervisor or manager in nuclear industry before is strongly preferred but we are open to someone that has been practically a supervisor in many ways but without the official job title yet.
- Experience with both advanced and operating nuclear programs
