Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) Engineer (Nuclear)

📍 Location: Florida, Texas, or Remote (travel for audits/inspections as needed)

Salary Range: $70,000 – $195,000 based on experience and equity desires

The Role

We are seeking a CGD Engineer to plan and execute commercial grade dedication activities for nuclear-grade applications. This role ensures commercial items are appropriately dedicated for safety-related use through defined critical characteristics, verification methods, and documentation.

What You’ll Do

Develop dedication plans (critical characteristics, acceptance methods, sampling, traceability)

Support source verification, inspections, testing, and supplier evaluations

Review and disposition supplier documentation packages

Coordinate with engineering, quality, and procurement to ensure requirements are met

Maintain dedication files and evidence packages suitable for audits

Support NCRs, deviations, and corrective actions related to dedicated items

Assist in setting up & maintaining CGD laboratory and M&TE to proper NQA-1 standards.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or equivalent experience

3+ years in supplier quality, quality engineering, or nuclear procurement programs. Prior nuclear experience preferred and decades of experience would tend to place higher onto listed pay range.

Familiarity with nuclear QA concepts and traceability expectations

Hands on knowledge of metallurgy, valve functionality, electrical systems, M&TE, etc.

Preferred

Experience with NQA-1 and dedication processes in operating plant or new build programs
