Salary Range: $80,000-$205,000 based on experience & desire for equity
The Role
We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to support nuclear facilities and nuclear technology programs, spanning process design, chemistry control, and support to safety and licensing deliverables. Work can include fuel cycle processes, coolant chemistry, waste handling, or novel nuclear facility processes (e.g., benchtop chemistry in hotcells for isotope processing), depending on background.
What You’ll Do
Develop process designs, mass and energy balances, and process flow diagrams
Support chemistry and materials compatibility evaluations
Define operating limits, control strategies, and process safety considerations
Support vendor evaluations and technical procurement packages
Produce disciplined documentation (calculations, specifications, reports)
Interface with safety, licensing, quality, and operations stakeholders
Qualifications
BS/MS in Chemical Engineering or related field
3+ years experience in process engineering (nuclear experience preferred)
Strong technical writing and cross-functional communication skills
Preferred
Experience in fuel cycle, radiochemical processes, or highly regulated chemical processing
