Nuclear Government Grant and Commercial Proposal Writer

📍 Location: Texas, Florida, or Remote

Salary Range: $60,000-$185,000, based on experience

The Role

We are seeking a proposal writer to support government grant applications and commercial proposals for nuclear technology and services. This role partners with technical leaders to translate complex engineering content into clear, compelling narratives that win funding and contracts.

What You’ll Do

Lead writing and coordination of grant applications (including federal DOE, state level, and related opportunities)

Draft and edit commercial proposals, whitepapers, and technical narratives

Coordinate inputs across engineering, finance, legal, and partners

Build compliance matrices, outlines, and submission checklists

Convert technical content into clear, benefit-driven language without losing accuracy

Maintain reusable proposal content and a library of past performance and boilerplate

Qualifications

3+ years in technical proposal writing (energy, nuclear, aerospace, or similar). Prior nuclear experience preferred and decades of experience would tend to place higher onto listed pay range.

Strong writing, editing, and project management skills

Ability to learn new technical domains quickly and ask the right questions

Preferred

Experience with government funding programs and compliance-driven submissions

Experience with post-award compliance.
