📍 Location: Remote
Salary Range: $80,000 to $290,000 (target range, dependent on level)
The Role
We are seeking Nuclear Licensing Engineers to support licensing strategy and documentation for a mix of new reactor programs, fuel cycle facilities, and upgrades to operating facilities. This role spans early permitting through safety analysis report development and regulator interactions.
What You’ll Do
Develop licensing strategies and regulatory engagement plans
Draft, review, and integrate licensing deliverables (for example, permit applications, topical reports, safety basis content)
Research regulatory precedents and interpret requirements into actionable engineering guidance
Coordinate cross-functional inputs (systems, safety analysis, radiation protection, I&C, mechanical)
Support meetings with regulators and stakeholders (travel as needed)
Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, Engineering, or related field (legal/regulatory backgrounds may be considered)
- 1+ years experience (junior) to 12+ years (senior) in nuclear regulatory affairs or licensing-adjacent work
- Strong technical writing and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Experience across both advanced and operating nuclear licensing frameworks
