AI Software Implementation Support Specialist or Product Development Engineer (Nuclear)

📍 Location: Florida, New York, Arizona, or Remote (with travel to various customer sites)

Salary Range: $60,000-$200,000, based on experience and equity desires

The Role

We are seeking an AI Software Implementation Support Specialist (or Product Development Engineer) to help deploy AI-enabled software into nuclear environments. This role is part customer success, part product, and part engineering, translating real customer workflows into product requirements and ensuring implementations are stable, secure, and valuable. Deep IT or AI skills are not necessary as long as you talk the nuclear language and can translate nuclear customers’ needs into regular speak to software engineers that will support you.

What You’ll Do

Lead or support software implementations with customers (requirements discovery, configuration, rollout, adoption)

Translate nuclear workflows into clear product requirements and user stories

Troubleshoot integration and data issues; coordinate fixes with engineering

Support model and feature validation in regulated environments (traceability, testing, documentation)

Build and maintain implementation playbooks, training, and support materials

Partner with engineering to improve product usability, reliability, and deployment tooling

Work with customer stakeholders across engineering, quality, licensing, procurement, finance, operations, and other such common nuclear departments.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Strong experience in other fields or other degrees will be considered for compelling candidates with demonstrated nuclear knowledge.
  • Nuclear Engineering related degree or prior experience in nuclear company. 10+ years of nuclear experience would tend to place higher onto listed pay range.
  • Strong written communication and ability to document processes and decisions
  • Ability to learn complex regulated workflows quickly and communicate them clearly

Preferred

  • Familiarity with QA, audits, and validation expectations
  • Exposure to LLMs, AI product development, or data pipelines. Demonstrated ability to experiment with AI with enthusiasm or some amount of success turning week long tasks into hours long tasks via AI in nuclear.
