The Role

We are seeking a Primavera P6 Scheduler to build, maintain, and communicate logic-driven nuclear project schedules for complex engineering, EPC, and capital projects. This role sits at the center of execution, translating engineering and field realities into an integrated schedule that leaders can trust.

You will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and project leadership to create schedule visibility, manage change, and drive predictable delivery. Interpreting their couched high level description inputs to you as P6 schedule updates correctly the first time.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity dictionaries, and coding structures
  • Create logic-driven CPM schedules, including critical path and float analysis
  • Establish and maintain schedule baselines; track progress, variances, and impacts
  • Lead routine schedule update cycles (weekly and monthly) and ensure quality of input data
  • Facilitate schedule review sessions with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities into one coherent plan
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, and recovery options; support mitigation planning
  • Support change management by evaluating schedule impacts of scope changes, RFIs, and design revisions
  • Produce clear schedule narratives, executive-ready dashboards, and look-ahead reports
  • Coordinate interfaces and key milestones across multiple teams and vendors
  • (As needed) Support resource loading, progress measurement, earned value inputs, and cost controls coordination

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project scheduling experience in Primavera P6 (capital projects, EPC, energy, industrial, or similarly complex environments)
  • Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling fundamentals, baselining, and schedule performance measurement
  • Experience building schedules from scratch (not only maintaining an existing template), including setting up WBS and schedule governance
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, project managers, procurement, and field execution teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain schedule logic and drivers to non-schedulers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; comfort producing polished schedule reports
  • Experience in nuclear, power generation, or other highly regulated industries

Preferred

  • Experience in nuclear, especially commercial nuclear power or new reactor design firm or general nuclear construction.
  • Exposure to Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC)
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis, progress measurement systems, or earned value management
